- Position Overview. We are seeking Materials Engineers with CVD expertise to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. Fast-paced, multi-project environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Required QualificationsEducation
- B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- Hands-on CVD experience - process development and optimization
- Tool installation, qualification, and commissioning
- Advanced materials characterization (SEM, XRD, XPS, etc.)
- Vacuum systems and process control
- Materials coating analysis and evaluation
Essential Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Plus)
- Ultra-high temperature Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) experience
- Modeling and simulation capabilities
- PECVD, MOCVD, or advanced CVD techniques
- Statistical process control and DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize CVD processes for advanced materials
- Install, qualify, and maintain CVD equipment
- Perform comprehensive coating characterization and analysis
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities
- Generate technical reports and documentation
